Personality: Just like several other members of his guild, Rustyrose at first seemed to be completely emotionless. Despite this stoicism, he spoke in a fanciful and beautifying manner, referring to the battlefield of Tenrou Island as an "Eden", Grimoire Heart members as "Demons", Fairy Tail members as "Fairies", and himself as the "King of the Underworld". He also performs hand motions while he speaks. Later on, in his battle against Elfman and Evergreen , he reveals a sinister and crazed side to him, as he was laughing maniacally at the prospect of living in a world ruled by Zeref where non-Magic users would be annihilated. He believes that only the strong should survive (that is, Mages), and constantly refers to weak opponents as trash.He is fond of speaking in a fancy manner to make things sound dramatic.

Seven years later, Rustyrose has appeared to have lost his original personality as in the year X791, he's become obsessed with reviving Grimoire Heart and is living in the past as he had attacked Meredy in order to convince her to join him and revive his former guild. Rustyrose even acted as if Grimoire Heart wasn't disbanded when he along with Zancrow and Azuma confronted Kyôka during their assault on the Tartaros guild hall in response to Tartaros violating the nonaggression pact between the members of the Balam Alliance.

Extra information: Rustyrose is first seen on an airship in which is located somewhere above Tenrou Island. We later hear him agree to take part in the battle against Fairy Tail's best mages which are on the island. As the airship nears the island, Rustyrose tells his guild members to get ready for battle. He then looks on as Makarov intercepts the airship at the bay in front of Tenrou Island. Caprico then stores Rustyrose and all the other members of Grimoire Heart away and proceeds to fly over the island, releasing all the members in the form of bubbles. As Rustyrose lands, he mentions that the Fairy Tail members are doomed. He later confronts Elfman and Evergreen, who comment on his erratic behavior, calling him an idiot.

Magic:Arc of Embodiment is a form of Lost Magic that allows the caster to materialize, and subsequently use to their every whim, anything they can imagine. Any of their creations give them great versatility both in and out of combat. They can range anywhere from everyday objects and weapons to more complex creations, even living ones or even simple images of whatever may be on the user's mind. These creations are also given special properties that goes accordingly to what they are. It has been stated that there are several limits and conditions to this Magic, one of which is that the Magic cannot conjure living creatures, as shown when Bickslow displayed the ability to possess any object conjured by this magic. Despite this, Arc of Embodiment has been considered an invincible Magic by its caster, who additionally claims that nothing can beat the Magic.
